They're called "the Rolls-Royce of barbecue grills," "the best gas grill in the world," and "the world's only true hybrid fire grill." Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet makes the finest, most versatile grills in the world, along with a full suite of incredibly powerful outdoor kitchen appliances. In 2016, I developed a content strategy and full editorial calendar for this remarkable brand, which has happily given me plenty of opportunity to test out their incredible products.

 

Content strategy

Kalamazoo's marketing team needed a visionary content plan that addressed customer needs, planned for repurposing content, and was flexible enough to update based on changing business needs or events. I conducted thorough research on their customers, competitors, site performance, and team capabilities to make strategic recommendations for 2016. 


Writing

After making my content recommendations, the marketing team at Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet retained me to help them execute the plan. From case studies to grilling guides, blog posts to recipes, I now write a variety of pieces for them. I also continue to recommend ways to maximize content across social, email, and web channels.
